A secondary access valve, used to connect gauges during servicing, was also contributing to the loss. Individually, neither issue would have seemed significant. Together, they were responsible for a persistent gas leak that had been running quietly for an extended period.

The Repair: Precise, Targeted, and Effective

The fix did not require a major overhaul. It required accurate diagnosis followed by targeted repair — which is exactly what the situation called for.

The work completed included:

  • Replacing the deteriorated adjustment sealing cap
  • Addressing the micro-leak at the access valve fitting
  • Re-securing all affected fittings to prevent recurrence

The repair was straightforward once the source of the problem was correctly identified. That identification was the critical part of the job.
